The end goal of this project was to visually represent the central plot elements of a film through hand drawn illustrations in Photoshop. I selected a series of frames from the film, “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, that I felt best depicted both the style, tone, and plot of the movie. I sketched directly from the frame itself, eliminating any distractions and focussing only on the key elements of the composition. This was both study in digital rendering as well as story telling.
Ultimately, every project boils down to just that: a multifaceted narrative that must be communicated succinctly while still accurately portraying the complete story.
